"It feels like the district can put you on leave if they don't like you, and they can make up their mind to what the allegation is later. That's what it feels like to our members. Being placed on paid admin leave is not a victimless situation. Just because somebody maintains their paycheck doesn’t mean they maintain their professional reputation. It doesn't mean there is no emotional damage to being kept from your livelihood and kept from your calling, being kept from the work that you do and the students that you serve. And it's damaging when it happens to one of our members because all of our members now fear that they can be placed in this same limbo, not know why, and be at the burden of the district’s timeline... As far as we know the district engaged an outside investigator for 9 months to send some emails back and forth, and delay and cancel interviews, because thats all we’ve seen."

In reference to allegations of a highly praised teacher & coach facing retaliation for whistleblowing
"I brought you guys a gift that I printed out so you members can add it to the minutes and share it with this school, to see that this is the type of stuff that a man like that prints out on a child that was 16 years old ... and has now become an adult and is doing really well as soon as he left this school. So I brought that for you Mr. Nori to remind you: be careful what you write, especially when you don't know facts."
